I’m getting married ya’ll! I can’t believe that one week from today I will be walking down the aisle and saying “I do” to the love of my life. I know marriage happens often but I honestly didn’t think it would be in the cards for me. Marriage is such a serious commitment and sacred union that is sometimes taken for granted. I’m getting married because I understand this and my fiancé is truly someone I can see me spending the rest of my life with.

The Engagement

I remember telling myself that if my fiancé proposes by October, I’m getting married in April. It is now April, and it’s really happening lol. I’ll never forget being on the top of that mountain and my other half telling me how serious he was about us and wanting to take this journey with me. As much as I wanted this, prayed for this and knew it would happen, I was still in such disbelief when it did. I photograph people getting married all the time. Finally, someone will be photographing me.

Being a Wedding Photographer

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen many couples enter this journey and I’ve prayed for all of them. I’ve prayed for them like I pray for my own marriage. We really need to be in community. Community helps build strong marriages. When you have people praying for you and genuinely wanting the best for you, it comes into manifestation.

Tips for My Couples

I’ll go deeper into this convo in my next blog but just a few tips for my engaged couples. I believe you should enjoy the engagement stage, hire a wedding planner when you set a date and don’t cheap out. Your wedding day is a major milestone in your life, make it the best with what you have.
