St. George Serbian Orthodox Church Wedding

My first Serbian Church Wedding at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, NJ went perfect. I loved that Javon + Kat is such an easy going couple. I’ve known Jovan for a little while now because we worked together a few years ago. We still managed to stay in touch. Overtime, I’ve seen he been with his wife for a while now. So you can understand how exciting it’s been for me to shoot his wedding! Another exciting thing is that he is a photographer. Making this the second wedding photographer that I was able to capture their wedding day this year. It is an honor that he entrusted me to capture their special moments, being he is a photographer as well.

Engagement Session

I got acquainted more with Kat during their engagement session. We all hit it off and had a great session. Kat + Javon wanted simple but nice studio engagement photos which was done at my studio, KB Visualz Studios. During their engagement session, I could not stop laughing. They are so funny and goofy, I couldn’t help but to laugh the whole way through. Kat + Jovan been together for a long time and you can tell how tight their chemistry is by being around them. Since Jovan is a photographer, they were able to do photo shoots outside of our session. Which is why I was thrilled to know I did their official engagement shoot.

Cultured Weddings

Kat, along with her family, is super sweet. Getting ready with her friends, sister and her mom was a great time. It was a beautiful intimate wedding of no more than 5 people. This wedding is different from what I usually do because of their lovely culture. They had their wedding at a Serbian Church. The details of the church, along with the ceremony was aesthetically eye catching. Jovan is Serbian while Kat is Puerto Rican. It is cool to see a different culture within a wedding sector. It’s always great to do different cultured weddings because you get a great aspect of how people celebrate in other ways. Kat + Javon booked me for their ceremony and getting ready portion of their wedding which was awesome because they are intimate people. They didn’t feel the need to have a whole bunch of camera’s aka “paparazzi” the whole time lol.
