We love a multitasker—but your wedding photographer shouldn’t be one!
Photographers are here to do what they do best. That is capturing all those wonderful moments—the laughter, the tears, and the sweet little glances. However, they’re not meant to manage your wedding party or keep the wedding timeline on track.
Your wedding day is all about those precious moments! Without a dedicated wedding planner or a day-of coordinator, things can get a little chaotic. Your photographer isn’t just capturing those candid shots. They’re now trying to juggle questions like, “Where should Uncle Jim stand?” or “Is it time for the first dance?”
While they’re happy to assist, every second spent on something else means less time focusing on capturing all the moments that matter most.
I totally get that not everyone wants a huge planning committee, especially if that’s not your vibe or your budget. But even bringing in a day-of planner can make a huge difference! These experts really know how to keep everything on track, from sticking to the timeline to handling any vendor surprises. That way, everyone, even your photographer, can concentrate on what they do best; let the day flow the way it was meant to be.
Here’s my take on it. One, definitely invest in that amazing photographer you love. Two, do yourself a favor by bringing on a planner, even if it’s just for the big day. It’s all about letting the professionals shine in their roles, so you can truly enjoy every moment without all the stress.
If you’re looking for wedding planner recommendations, Intimate Occasions by Ikiya and Hactac Events are two of my go-tos. Whether you need full-service planning or just day-of coordination, they’ll keep everything running smooth.
Trust me—when your photos are as stunning as your day was seamless, you’ll be glad you had the right team in place.
