January 15, 2022
I never thought I would be a full-time wedding photographer until it finally happened November 24, 2021. In January 2021, I prayed and told God I wanted to leave my job and pursue full-time wedding photography as my career. I know my God is awesome but this kind of faith in him was honestly next level for me. It really was a test on how much I really believed in him.
In my prayer, I asked God for October 6, which was my business anniversary, to be my first official day as a full-time wedding photographer. I would have been an official business for 4 years and 4 is also my lucky number lol.
I’m not gonna lie to ya’ll, October came and I was NOT ready. I started to hyperventilate lol. God gave me the okay, but this was such a big change, I did not know how to leave. I had been working 2 jobs since I was 16 and leaving my part time job 2020 was already a lot for me. I would not completely depending on my business aka God.
After over a month of delay, God really spoke to me on where my faith was. If I didn’t leave my job, I might as well no longer call myself a believer.
I am almost two months in guys as a full-time wedding photographer. I still believe that leaving was the toughest yet the best decision I could have made. I now have time to communicate more with my clients and the needs of the business. I also finally have a day off that I have been committing to more and more. I am not completely where I want to be but I can say I am where I need to be.
I am blessed. I am highly favored. I am a believer. I am a full-time wedding photographer.
